With the passing of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, some attractions and events in Thailand may be closed, according to the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT).

Nonetheless, travellers are encouraged to be “respectful and sombre” and to “refrain from any activities that can be interpreted as festive” during this period of mourning. So go forth and enjoy your Thailand holiday without any worries ?

Starting from 17 October, The Thai Transportation Operators Association, TAT and the Royal Thai police are providing free bus services to the location.
