We purchased the standard package 3days before heading down, they had fixed time-slots at 199rm/pax. Do prepare a picture in your phone before heading down to avoid wasting time at the start. Once you have the picture, you will be seated down at your station and the staff will guide you in connecting your phone to the projector to trace the outlines of the photo. Once the outline is done, the staff will demonstrate how to use the equipment and the safety precautions to take. We spent 3 and a half hours to complete and it was very satisfying to see it get completed. The staff were very friendly and helpful, often coming to check in on us and advise us on how to better perfect our rugs. Collection time will be 1month later and there is an option to make a pillow at an extra 50RM per piece. There were abundant colors to choose from and unlimited number of colors to use. Overall a very fun experience and definitely recommended if you are looking for a fun activity to do!

Definitely an interesting tufting experience, it was my first time. Wasn’t as easy as I thought, but the instructors were very helpful and attentive. They will come by and help you, and guide you. Be prepared to spend 3-4 hours. You can choose 30 x 30, 50 x 50 or 90 x 90 (all in cm) to do your art piece. Would be good if you can come in mind the design you want to do! Fun experience. ??

It was a good experience attending the tufting workshop at the Tufting Nuts. The art piece took about 3 hours to complete. A pair of strong and steady hands is needed to handle the tufting gun. The final product could be made into a rug or pillow, which would take about a month to be ready for collection or delivery back to Singapore.

Postscript:  We received the completed beautiful pillow exactly one month later in July 2024, via courier service from Johor to Singapore.

The workshop itself was fine (although at the end they asked us to wait for more than half an hour just to take a photo which eventually didn't manifest). What was horrendous (as with recent reviews) was the actual collection process. Despite the initial promise of collection within a few weeks, it was radio silence for few months until some queries were sent. What made it worse was that they gave the rug I tufted away and instead gave us a poor imitation of a cushion (compare the pictures below). We were shocked. When pressed to explain, they said they could not recover the rug I tufted as they gave it away to another person. Furthermore, we would have to return the cushion given to us. This was overall a horrendous experience as they could not even provide the rug we painstakingly tufted, even though the Instagram handle was clearly labelled. Service recovery was poor and not thought through as well - surely we could not trust them enough to go over to make a second rug while paying again for the 2nd person? Would certainly not recommend (especially when you live across the border) as when it goes wrong, it goes wrong - don't expect to get your rug.

Update: This review seemed to galvanise them to recover my original rug (previously they simply said they could not get it back). Got it back after some time, albeit with the colours slightly ran perhaps due to their washing. They then prompted me to update my review. Updated to 2-stars.

Lousy super lousy. Tufting was completed on 31 Jan and was given a message to collect. Ended up i was busy and collected late. To my horror, the artwork had a hole (pls see photo). It was dusty and was not kept in a plastic bag or covered with anything. Worse is I was told mine is a bigger irregular size. Shouldn’t a business prepare sufficient plastic bag of different sizes to cater for the business? What a funny and absurd excuse!

The poor staff even told me their whole crew of staff changed hands. My goodness! Ended up the poor young boy has to bear the burden of patching the hole. What a lousy and irresponsible management.
